| I first discovered clay, digging it from a hillside near my childhood home in New York. Moving here to San Diego in the 1970s, I took my first clay class. My cone 10 reduction work begins as wheel thrown forms, then is altered by squaring, paddling, pinching, attaching, and applying colored slips as decoration – often birds or plants. | |
