| Josh Herman’s work, widely collected by the Midcentury Modern community, ranges from large-scale sculpture to wheel-thrown, functional pieces. Known for his signature Volcanic Glazes, his practice embraces accident, process, and organic expression. Influenced by Japanese ceramics and Hakomi therapy, Josh approaches clay as a dialogue between control and spontaneity, carrying forward a lifelong commitment to experimentation that began while studying with Paul Soldner at Pitzer College. | |
