Kaito Kikuchi started to make pots at the UCSD Crafts Center in 2021, while completing his Ph.D. in Quantitative Biology. His passion for food and drinks, alongside an appreciation for antique ceramics from Japan, Korea, and China, inspires his pottery designed for everyday use. Each piece is high-fired to cone 10 in a gas kiln. Kaito's work is crafted with a keen sensibility for utility and aims to bring a quiet joyousness to the table.
